Angels Camp Museum Holds Gold Rush Era Lecture

The Angels Camp Museum will present. as part of their lecture series, a special lecture on the tools and material culture of the Gold Rush era of the 1840's and 1850's on Thursday June 7, 2012 in the Carriage House at the Angels Camp Museum, beginning at 6:30 PM.
Jim Miller will present a fascinating look at tools, clothing, and general history of the Gold Rush era while dressed in period correct clothing.
We often take for granted our Gold Rush history, but you may be surprised to learn a few things you did not know about the miners, their families, how they prospected and how they lived.
This lecture precedes the museum's Gold Rush Day on Saturday, June 9th, when the museum will be open free to the general public and present multiple programs on the gold Rush era.
Don't miss this wonderful lecture with all its artifacts and history!
Tickets are available the night of the lecture for $10 per person—Museum members are admitted free. For more information call the museum Thursday through Mondays from 10 AM to 4 PM at (209)-736-2963.
