We felt that Mike Dell'Orto and Bryce Randal were both viable candidates with District 2's economic woes first in their minds. Chris Wright moved into a very low 3rd place after the debate on Channel 9, when he promised more of the same policies and recommended hires like Moreno to cause chaos in our County departments.
Dell'Orto was the calm and collected one, which gives us the most confidence that he can make a difference from day 1; partly because of his past Supervisorial experience.
Bryce Randal is also a very nice guy, who owns a retail business; however, his ideas of growing the economy is to focus on only locally grown foods and ag/tourism. It just won't work in District 2. People in District 2 need jobs! Not low income brush slashing jobs or low income tourism jobs, but head of household jobs.
After seeing this debate, the Sierra Sentinel recommends you vote for Mike Dell'Orto if you care about the future of the economy in District 2. Wright if you want it to fall further down the path of a welfare economy.
