Edson on Supervisor Term Limits

Cliff Edson, challenger to Tofanelli in the District 1 Supervisorial race, responded to our question on whether a Calaveras County Board Supervisor position should have term limits:
"I believe there should be a term limit of 3 terms. If you have a good worker in there, you should want to keep them as long as possible. I also believe if you are going to have term limits, you need to consider the economic impact of the benefit package that the Supervisors get.
Five years to be vested right now. That means if you turn over a Supervisor every 2 terms, you are going to have a huge impact on the costs associated with that."
