At the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, five newborn calves were born this Spring. What's the big deal? Well, these are PURE Buffalo calves.
Most buffalo in the country are mixed with cattle genetically, some intentionally to sell as Beefalow meat to consumers.
Montana has chosen to re-introduce PURE buffalo into the original Native American lands, even though the cattle industry in the state has opposed it.
As the buffalo became nearly extinct, so will go the other native wild animals, as scared residents want every wild animal, such as bears, mountain lions and others killed off. What a sad time for America, but a wonderful time for the buffalo. We cheer Montana's move, and wish the buffalo good luck.
