On Saturday, July 11, the Bureau of Land Management will hold a Horse and Burro adoption at Frogtown. Available to adopt will be 31 wild horses and 4 burros. The adoption fee is $125 for those not auctioned at the 9 AM auction.
The horses and burros will arrive at Frogtown around 2 PM on Friday if you wish to get a preview of what is available on Saturday. The adoption day will open at 8 AM and run until 5 PM.
Please be sure you can afford to maintain a horse, with an approximate cost of feed, vet and foot care estimated at around $250 per month. For more information, call the BLM at 530-254-6575.
