When we first
started getting calls about all the trouble at the Lake, we tried contacting the Sheriff's Department press line without success.

Then we started checking around to see how 2000 people (rough estimates) found out about a little party at Lake Tulloch. Easy, it was advertised all over the Bay Area and on Facebook.
What was our illustrious Supervisor Tryon doing? He knew it was a scheduled event. Extra officers were assigned to the Lake.
We finally heard that Tryon just didn't have any idea that so many people would show up, and therefore there was no Conditional Use Permit, and hence, no parking control, and not near enough Deputies.
This was a big party! It doesn't seem to us that Mr. Tryon is capable of handling anything more than a roundup of Meadowmont cows. We're all in trouble if he gets elected, is our opinion. coppergazette.blogspot.com

That's not fair. Tryon was unaware of the party until a few days before hand. Planning had already given their blessing along with the Sherrif who advised everyone that safety matters had been addressed. Tryon advised me peronslaly that he felt a CUP was in order and that he would look into it. But Tom Tryon cannot cancel the Bump. BOth planning and Sherriffs allowed it.

This last comment is ridiculous. Is this Tom Tryon's District or not? He is responsible, and if he says he didn't know til a few days before, where does he bury his head in the sand. Certainly not in Copperopolis. We've got to get rid of him. Sounds like Betsy is campaigning for him and doesn't care if he's any good or not.
I have been personally told on a different issue by Tom that he would "look into" a matter for me. Guess what happened... NOTHING. I live in Copperopolis and feel like I am on my own out here. He is hardly ever present in the community and the Bump Party is another example of his negligence. "I will look into it" translate in Tryonese to: I dont care you are on your own.
