Originally fro Arkansas, Billie and Emmett, her husband, came to California shortly after a tornado destroyed their home. They were left with only a bean pot as their prize possession, and it is still in use to this day.
Billie was a Mom by trade and a provider when needed. Family was always 1st and her kids were everything to her.
She was a loving mother and wife who only knew how to love and give to her kids. In life we are all tested in times of hardship. Well, Mom you had more than your share and you never failed, no matter what happened.
And you never gave up, never for a minute stopped loving your family! Her second passion was Bingo, and a great dinner of fried catfish, greens, black-eyed peas and cornbread. Oh, and a pot of homemade beans was always a must.
Billie was a loving mother to Danny, Brenda, Michael and Marion, grandmother to Teresa and Glenda and she was blessed with 3 great-grandchildren Jarred, Joshua and Carina, all her babies she loved unconditionally.
Mom, no matter how sad the time, you always made things better with your unconditional love, your smile and words of wisdom.
I know you are in heaven now with MIchael, Marion and Dad, but you will always be here with us in our hearts and minds. Not a day will pass that we will not think of you and how much we love and miss you.
A viewing will be from 9 AM to 1 PM and a Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday June 21, 2012 at San Andreas Memorial Chapel.
