An example of a well-kept trail - courtesy of Caters |
When we tell them that the City already voted and approved it, and City Councilmembers stated that most people want a "effeminate Frog Trail" in their back yards, they are shocked!
We are told that no one from the City came to see them or asked them to sign a waiver that any kind of frogs or people can tramp through their back yards.
We were shown a letter with a date of a public hearing that was then changed, and tell us they have been against it all along.
"Why did we buy such expensive property?" one woman asked. They had paid a premium to have property on Angels Creek, and now the City wants to further destroy their enjoyment and property value!
It is shocking! We have e-mailed City Councilmember Jack Lynch and City Administrator Michael McHatten, the two main advocates of the trail, and have as yet received no reply.
We had a feeling there was something deceitful in what the City was doing, and now we know. When they stated that most people along the creek wanted the trail, THEY HAD NOT ASKED THEM FIRST!
