For years, the Sentinel has been criticizing the County for secretly posting letters to the Board, and not making them public with the agenda packets.
We have had opinions both ways about whether they should legally ACT on a piece of correspondence that the public is not allowed to see.
Transparency is not what this current Board of Supervisors is about. In order to get a copy of any of the letters under correspondence, you must pay for each page. Sure, you can get it, but it will cost you.
We feel that if the Supervisors have the right to act on the Correspondence, which is simply written Public Comment, then they should be able to act on the verbal Public Comments.
