We thought we heard wrong, when it sounded like the Davies Family of Murphys was getting a $10,000 sewer hookup for free in trade for an easement. Will the MSD do this for everyone?
Is there a conflict of interest there? Did we hear Mr. Davies in the audience claim that MSD promised this to him 40 years ago, and that now he wants to collect?
We asked General Manager Julio Guerra if this was true? The meetings they hold are very noisy, and constant talking between anyone who wants to is common and disruptive so we thought we should verify what we thought we heard.
Guerra said that yes, they are indeed making this trade, and not questioning the authenticity of his claims. Could it be because his wife, Pat Davies, sits on the Board? It was impossible to tell if they actually voted on this or not.
