FIRE along Hwy 4 in Douglas Flat

   If you take Hwy 4 through Douglas Flat and Vallecito in the mornings, you noticed another black charred area along the Hwy this morning, June 14, 2012.

     This was a fire that appears to be caused by an errant smoker, who carelessly throws cigarette butts out the window instead of into the ashtray.

    Clearly caught early, this could have been a disastrous fire; another fire caused by careless HUMANS. Will some people ever care about others? How about a $10 a pack tax to help pay for the fire expense from careless smokers?
