Harold Dillashaw of Angels Camp

     Harold Dillashaw was born in Jayton, Texas on April 25, 1933. His family moved to Angels Camp in 1945. He served his country from 1953 to 1955, spending 19 months in Germany.     He married his sweetheart, Shirley Zanardi that same year.
    Harold was an honorable man of many talents. He was a general contractor who built everything from the silos at the Calaveras Cement Plant to building over 50 homes in Calaveras County.
    He loved all sports from baseball to golf.  He was a gracious and above average athlete. He volunteered for everything and never expected anything in return.    He built the cover over the cement slab in Utica Park as a gift to the city.
     Harold 's greatest and most treasured gift was his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years Shirley Zanardi Dillashaw of Angels Camp, two children Jim (Krista) Dillashaw and Debbie Dillashaw Wood of Angels Camp, six grandsons Jeremy and John Wood of Angels Camp, Travis Dillashaw of Murphys, Jacob, Jayton and Tanner Dillashaw, two granddaughters Hanna Dillashaw of Murphys and Mazie Wood of Angels Camp, sister Mary Malispina of Murphys and Jack Dillashaw of Angels Camp.
     Harold was the last living honorary member of the Angels Fire Department. He served as President of the Angels Gun Club for 25 years. He was also a member of the VFW.
     He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Billie Dillashaw and his sister Carolyn Massy.
    All who knew him respected and loved him.
     There will be a Rosary recited on Friday June 29, 2012 at 8 PM at Angels Memorial Chapel.
     A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11 AM at the Angels Gun Club.
