Joone Lopez's Last Hoorah!

     The Calaveras County Water District's (CCWD) Board of Directors took a moment during its regular Board meeting on June 13th to recognize Joone Lopez, departing General Manger.

    Board President Don Stump read a resolution of the Board thanking Joone for all her extraordinary service and dedication to the District for the past two years.

     Mrs. Lopez' tenure at the District may have been short, but she accomplished some major goals, including the soon-to-be constructed new Operations Headquarters facility, collaboration with other water agencies for annexation with CCWD, and positive union employee negotiations and relationships.

     During the Board meeting, Joone gave her final GM report to the Board and told them that she would be available for any calls and help in the future. "You haven't gotten rid of me yet?" exclaimed Joone.
