This morning it was reported that Prop 29, the $1 tobacco tax, is still in question. Due to the late absentee ballots, it is now 30,000 votes from passing. It had been 60,000.
Not considered dead yet, the registrar stated that there are still 100's of thousands of ballots to be counted, so it is very close. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear.
