Just letting our readers know that we sent an e-mail to the so-called Calaveras Humane Society, whose spokesperson Supervisor Callaway said is not interested in anything but getting money to build a big new dog and cat facility.
We suggested they should change their name to the Calaveras Inhumane Society due to their refusal to stick up for either the dogs or the bears and bobcats in SB 1221, which the ASPCA and the Humane Society of the United States both support.
We also told them that their lack of caring was disgusting. They only do what Supervisor Callaway tells them to do. We've known that for years.
And that is our absolute, total and very sad opinion.

I wouldn't donate one penny to that bunch. Callaway has destroyed it.
