Free Basic Internet Course Offered

   Are you a beginner with computer internet use?  A FREE course is going to be provided at the Calaveras County Main Library in San Andreas in August and September.

     California Connects, using a federal grant, is offering two six week sessions from August 23 through September 27, 2012.

    Students can choose the afternoon class from 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM or the evening class from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

   The classes are targeted twoards low income adults who are not already using the internet and who may not have access to broadband technology.

   The training will cover how to use internet search engines such as Google, how to set up and use e-mail, and where to find free, public access computers and internet service, as well as providing information of the availability of low cost computers and internet service.

   The trainer is bilingual in English and Spanish, and Spanish speakers are invited to join the class.
