Possible Thuderstorms Friday, August 3, 2012

    The National Weather Service is warning  of the possibility of thunder and lightning, especially is the mountain areas of Calaveras County throughout the weekend, beginning Friday, August 3, 2012.

    And CalFire has re-issued a Red Flag warning  for a good part of Northern California due
to the possibility of dry thunderstorms with lightning strikes coming our way.

    Because of the extreme dry conditions, fire officials are concerned of a repeat of the lightning strikes and resulting fires of two weeks ago.

    If a storm comes to your area, stay away from trees. Stay inside if at all possible. If caught outside, stay low to the ground.
