California's Debt Larger than Brown Thought!

Voters feel they are
carrying a big enough
burden and don't support
any new taxes!
The State Budget Crisis Task Force has found that what Governor Brown has been attempting to do to lower California's debt may be well-intentioned, the actual sum is much higher than previously thought.

This task force now says they have found a lot of other debts that didn't turn up in California's official tally.

Much of it is involves irrevocable promises to provide pensions to public workers, health care for retirees, the cost of delayed highway maintenance and an estimated $40 billion bill to bring drinking water up to federal standards.

Many feel that Californians are not likely to approve any tax hikes while this recession continues, and tend not to feel that the school system has no money, only that they want to give raises to teachers union employees.
