We received one of the strangest e-mails and we receive a lot of strange ones. But this one came from an apparent VP of Castle and Cooke, warning everyone he could pack up and move to Oakdale if he doesn't get his Sawmill development approved.
We couldn't tell if he is packing up and moving to Oakdale or if he is trying to scare our elected and Planning Commission officials into approving his latest development, Sawmill.
Since the Planning Commission did not approve Sawmill last week at the Public Hearing, could he be packing this week.?
We called Pat Paul, the Mayor of Oakdale and asked her if her City Council approved of her inviting him to Oakdale. She said she had no idea.
Rumor has it that Tom Tryon is trying to get it passed before the election. Now why would that be? Will he still be in office after the election? Odds are against it.
Will he take George Fry and Tom Tryon with him if he goes to Oakdale?

I'll buy his land for half of what he paid and then he can go to Oakdale and buy more land that's worth half of what it was.
