A Calaveras Sheriff's Office deputy responded to a call complaining of someone fraudulently soliciting for donations on Hwy 4 in Arnold on September 24, 2012.
Be cautious of anyone you do not know collecting money for charity of any kind. Ask for identification and never give cash.
Angels Camp seems to always have strange people asking for money or selling products from some other area.
Call the authorities if you have any questions. Some of these people even use children.
