Now the only thing between hunters using hounds to track and torture bear and bobcat is Governor Brown's signature.If he signs it, the only bear hunting that can be done with hounds is a depradation hunt. We hear that the DFG is willing and able to issue these permits whenever a hunter wants one. It's a sorry situation for our wildlife.
It is believed that Governor Brown will sign SB 1221. And the governor should know that not all Republicans hate animals. Our Board of Supervisors all voted against this bill. Democrats and Republicans alike.
We live in a sick society, where the animals, such as the baby bocat "Chips" who we've written about, has no chance. And hunting season is just around the corner.
