Why is it that Supervisor Callaway, who is the major force behind what she calls the "civility" movement is the least "civil" to her own department heads. and causes embarrassment to our county?
Leslie Davis, Tax Assessor was not even present when Callaway stated that the County would not be in this predicatment if the Tax Assessor was doing her job.
WHAT? Does Callaway accuse Davis of not showing up for work, or of not sending out the assessments on properties, or what?
Or is it that Callaway means that she wants Davis to raise our assessments on all of our properties to make up for the losses she and the other Supervisors caused in their anti-job policies and votes?
We believe that is exactly what she means! Callaway, then is asking Davis to BREAK THE LAW! What is "civil" about that?
Davis' job is to assess property in this county at what it has become, levels of depression. And we actually don't think Davis has gone far enough down this road.
At least Leslie Davis is courageous enough to call Callaway out on her phony attacks publicly, and did so during the public comment period at yesterdays budget hearings. What Davis didn't say, we will; that Callaway is still angry that the woman she wanted to win the election LOST!
Lack of respect by Callaway, and many times of Tryon and Wilensky, show that they should not be in public office. Demanding an elected department head to falsify assessments so that they can continue to spend money the way they had before they caused our depression is a more than adequate reason to RECALL all three!
This November, we could be well rid of two of them. The third and worst example of an elected Supervisor is the most disgusting example of a leader we've ever seen.
Three cheers for Leslie Davis! The Sierra Sentinel and the people will support your next election. We need more heroic women in this county. Thank you Leslie.
