We learned about a week ago that Beth Hartline, who lives in Murphys, is leaving her job as Assistant Director of the Central Sierra Economic Development District.
She is taking a private sector job with a new company in Sacramento, and has even decided to sell her Murphys home.
Her letter of resignation indicated that she would be leaving soon, and that she is eager to use her entrepreneurial spirit and business skills in a broader marketplace.
This is an example of what is happening in Calaveras County. We are losing many of our brightest and best due to an anti-growth, anti-job attitude held by our Board of Supervisors.
We want to wish Beth the best and hope she keeps in touch after she becomes famous in the big world out there in Sacramento.
