Fire on Bret Harte in Murphys

   October 4, 2012:  We witnessed nearly every fire engine available on Bret Harte Drive in Murphys around 4:20 PM, along with a CHP at the entrance.

   You could not have gone down the street anyway. They are narrow (Tryon, Kautz development) and even without emergency vehicles its difficult to pass.

   We could smell the smoke, but could no longer see flames, whether it was a home or a field. We will let you know when we hear.
