Gary Norman Leake went home to be with the Lord on October 25, 2012 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora, Ca. The cause of death was Alzheimer's disease.
Born April 8, 1942 in Torrance, Ca, Gary was a graduate of Chapman College in Orange CA, with a BA in Sociology.
He lived in Arnold for 24 years
and during that time he worked for Calaveras County Department of Children's Protective Services, then Human Resources Council in San Andreas.
Prior to that Gary worked for Santa Cruz County in Children's Protective Services for 20 years.
He was a member of Chapel in the Pines in Arnold for 19 years, where he served on the Church Board, was an Elder, and taught Sunday School for most of that time.
He had a passion for children and spent 9 years working in AWANA, an international children's program at the Chapel in the Pines.
He lived in Arnold for 24 years
and during that time he worked for Calaveras County Department of Children's Protective Services, then Human Resources Council in San Andreas.

Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Hilary Leake, son Eric Leake, daughter Jennifer Leake McFall, daughter-in-law Jennifer Leake, son-in-law Mark McFall, grandchildren Kailer McFall, Jillian, Ryan and Taylor Leake, all of whom miss him terribly.
The family invites all who knew Gary and shared in his life to a Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Congregational Church, 509 Algeirs St., Murphy's CA.
