Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center Blocks Bear Valley

One of the many anti-job, anti-economic pro-environment groups, CSERC, has filed a lawsuit, blocking Bear Valley Mountain Resort's plans to enlarge and develop their land to make more jobs available.

Bear Valley is the biggest source for jobs in the Ebbetts Pass corridor, as it brings people into the restaurants, and some even buy second homes in the area.

The Stanislaus National Forest approved the plan in September, but CSERC, which has made many problems for any kind of development in this area, filed a lawsuit to block it.

For those who's livelihood is earned at Bear Valley, mostly residents of Calaveras County, this is yet another blow to their ability to earn enough money to live on, and for the resort, which has had a couple of bad winters with less snow than usual. Many were laid off early this year.

We will keep you posted, but there are now so many of these anti-work groups that it is hard to keep up with their attacks on the working public.

Pay attention, it's the future. Just environmental justice, from the environmental groups to us.

As with everything else in California, there is NO middle ground. Environmentalists are punishing the existing generation for the mistakes of our parents generation. And they take their cue from the Feds who block today's Cleaner and Safer Oil & Coal industries because of the mistakes of the past. Ideology instead of common sense.
