Dear Editor:
I just don't see what is wrong with taxing the hotels, motels, whatever and giving it to the friends of politicians.
Isn't this the way government works all over this country. There are the working people and there are the TAKERS!
It's obvious who the takers are in Calaveras County. And all they have to do to repay their elected officials is to campaign for them.
Now that is only a little bit of corruption and compared to the BIG corruption in Calaveras County, nothing to pick on.
Wilensky and Callaway want to leave a legacy of money for all the work their 501c3's did for them. It no different that Congress writing pork to repay people who supported them for election.
Yes, our government is corrupt. What can we do about it? Just keep voting them out is about it!
Corruption is standard practice. Get used to it!

I've got a better idea. Let's use the tot money to pay the fry'd frog and dingy water bird not to run for any more elective offices!
Now that would be worth the money in my opinion.
