Lottery for Congressional Offices

  Fun was had by all (well, not exactly) as all incoming freshmen congressman took their turn to pick numbers 1 through 70 for available offices.


   That is, those left over from after the higher seniority House members pick the choicest. One, member, who did a lucky dance on the way to pick, got number 70, a small box of an office without a window.

   Of course, those long-terms Representatives have corner offices on upper floors. Such is the political system.
