Robert Bernard McGraw

   Robert Bernard McGraw, age 79, died peacefully at home on December 15, 2012.

   He was born on August 2, 1933 to Frances Helinski McGraw and Robert Franklin Joseph McGraw in Crystal Springs, Mississippi.

   Bob always turned strangers into friends. Everyone he met quickly saw his bright personality and became an instant friend.

   His laugh was contagious and his love for life was infectious. Bob was a sharp and snappy dresser and took pride in his perfectly groomed flat top and always looked dapper.

   With every obstacle he faced, Bob always looked on the bright side of life. He wore a smile every day and found comfort and happiness in his many friends.

   He was a playful teaser and, as we all know, never short of words or something to talk about.

   Bob was the fourth child of six children. He was pre-deceased by sisters Frances McGraw-Kemp, Dixie Lee McGraw-Brownridge and Arvila McGraw-Kelly.

    Living relatives include sister Anna M. McGraw Powers Wells of Alabama and brother Carl McGraw of Texas, daughters Dianne McGraw-Crawford and Lynn Leino of Sacramento, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

    Bob had a second family for the past 33 years and will be deeply missed by loving friends Dewayne and Denise Konz, children Derick (Amy) Konz and Dena Konz.

     He had a great friendship with his caregiver extraordinaire, BarbrAlice Kenworthy and her children Kylie and Kourtney Kenworthy.

   Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the San Andreas Memorial Chapel at 3 PM. There will be a potluck reception following at the San Andreas Apartments Community Room.

   Donations can be made to the Robert McGraw Memorial Fund at Umpqua Bank, to help with the funeral expenses.
