Bigelow Named Vice-Chair of Water, Parks and Wildlife

    We just received notification that our Assembly Member Frank Bigelo has been named Vice-Chair of the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee at the Capitol for the 2012-14 legislative seesion by Speaker John A. Perez.

   "It's an honor to have been appointed to serve as the Vice-Chair of the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee," Bigelow said.

   "I look forward to working with Chair Hueso and the entire committee to tackle the state's complex water issues and am eager to get stared crafting solutions for our state's future."

   As Vice- Chair, Bigelow will work diligently to achieve bipartisan solutions to the critical issues facing the committee, while continuing to defend the interests of local taxpayers.

   Water resources, flood management, fish and game, parks and recreation, and wildlife are critical to the people of rural California.

   As Vice-Chair, Bigelow will continue to advocate on behalf of the state's rural residents, ensuring their voices are heard in Sacramento.

   As a rancher and businessman, Bigelow understands how the state's water resources and water policies affect small businessmen, farmers and ranchers.

   As Vice-Chair, Bigelow's priorities will be on finding ways to create jobs for millions of people throughout the state and ensuring that California's farmers and ranchers can continue to produce the safest, most abundant food supply in the world.

   "Frank Bigelow understands that solving California's water crisis is about more than ensuring clean water comes out of the tap each morning.  It's also about jobs for millions of people and the economic health of our state, and protecting water rights.

   As Vice-Chair of the Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee, he will play an important role in responsibly planning our state's water future," said Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway, of Tulare.

   In addition to Bigelow's Vice Chirmanship of Water, Parks and Wildlife, he'll serve on  the Appropriations, Governmental Organization, Natural Resources and Rules Committees.

   Assembly Member Frank Bigelow, R-O'Neals, represents the 5th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes all or parts of Placer, El Dorado, Alpine, Amado, Calaveras, Tuolumne, Mariposa, Madera and Mono counties.
