UPDATE: CalFire's office in Sacramento says CalFire News is not part of CalFire and they are not responsible for anything they tweet.
They say their employees never would write or tweet personal comments or opinions like gun control.
As our readers are aware, the Sierra Sentinel has been critical of CalFire, many of their workers gossip, waste time and that they take our $150 per home to feed
this bad and failed system, which does not fight fires.
As are many websites, we are signed in to receive tweets from CalFire to get accurate reports on fire news in California.
We should not be surprised when we get wierd tweets from CalFire, but this morning a tweet was recived giving an opinion on GUNS.
We have spoken to the head office in Sacramento, to no avail, to retrain their people properly, and to get rid of those who violated proper employment practices.
We will continue to make public everything we see and to complain, but we see no possibility of improvement due to bad management practices that actually encourage this.
If you live in an area where CalFire is reponsible for saving your home in a fire you should be worried. We are!!!

You know, there was a time when i would never welcome criticizm of our California State Forestry people, but now that they are taking money from me to clear cut the forests, destroying wildlife habitat in order to help companies like SPI make money, i feel differently. Thank you for having the courage to print the truth. These people should be laid off!!!
You are totally correctamundo! SPI controls the Fire Board the came up with the idea to get more money out of us, and who benefits? Not us! Not the forest creatures! SPI, the clear-cutters.
