A man who reported liquid explosives were on a plan, causing the flight to be diverted, was trying to get even with an ex-boyfriend of his current girlfriend.
On Monday he plead guilty to malicious false information about an explosive, and false information and hoaxes.
He also agreed to write a letter of apology to every passenger and crew member on the plane at the time of the hoax.
He could still face up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000 when he is sentence on April 16, 2013.
