What became clear at February 12, 2013 Board of Supervisors meeting was that Chris Wright, who we had many questions about, has proven to be a representative of the people.
Wright made quite a statement when he said that he thought everyone in the Lake Tulloch area should have been, or now should be notified about the "permit" ordinance for short term rentals, which is yet to be passed.
The County refused, taking the stance that it would cost too much money and that legally they do not have to (after all, it could cause the BOS chambers to be overflowing with angry people).
On the other hand, the District 5 Supervisor Darren Spellman, who has indicated to us that he is worried about whether he will be re-elected, ranted that three new Supervisors have to do what he says and worry about getting re-elected during discussion of a sunset clause.
What this showed was that the ONLY thing Spellman cares about is getting re-elected, and nothing else matters.
Is this the kind of representative the Rancho Calaveras, District 5 residents want? We don't think so.
Chris Wright may be RIGHT for District 2 after all. Maybe he's not like his predecessor!

Shocking!! A Supervisor who thinks about being open with the public! Unheard of in Calaveras County!
Wait a minute! Is it not important that he claims he turned down a bribe?
