Did you hear about the three long-time buddies who had only a verbal agreement among them that if one of them ever won the lottery, they would split it three ways.
Well, the same day that James Scoles of North Pole, Alaska found a fortune cookie that said you are going to win the lottery, his friend Kenneth Wilson of Georgia, bought a lottery ticket.
The next day, Wilson's numbers came up and he won a million dollars. He immediately called Scoles and the third friend Sanford Watson to tell them.
How many people would hold to a verbal agreement from many years ago? Not many, we're willing to bet.
The three plan to pay bills, buy a Georgia honey baked ham and some good barbecue sauce, according to lottery officials.
