Julia Costello's early career as an archaeologist in Lebanon ended with the civil war in 1974.
Continued interests and friendships from that time have taken her to several projects in Jordan and Syria.
In the summer of 2012 she particpated in an extraordinary excavation in Tyre, Lebanon where the most complete Phoenician temple yet found in that country was identified.
Her talk covers the first season of this archaeological discovery as well as a look at today's incarnation of this 3500 year old seaport.
Meet with us for refreshments at 6:30 PM. The lecture begins at 7 PM.
