Dorothy Mao of Valley Springs

    From her family:

    Gold has called one of his faithful daughters, Dorothy Mao, to come home
on February 17, 2013.

    She was born in Riesel, Texas on January 23, 1927.

    Dorothy is survived by her husband, Danny Mao of 44 years in Valley Springs, daughter Christa McINtosh and her husband Angus McIntosh in Apple Valley, sons Craig Alexander in Las Vegas and Patrick Alexander in Alaska and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

   She was a former member of Valley Christian Center in Valley Springs.  She also attended Stone Corral Community Church and Clements Community Church.

   Dorothy planned and organized Release Time for several years in Valley Springs.  During her teen life she was a pround member of Rosie the Riveter during WWII.

   She received her AA degree at Bakersfield Junior College and BS from Sonoma State University.

   A traditional Service will be held on March 16, 2013 at Valley Christian Center in Valley Springs at 11 AM sharp.

    At her wish no flowers - any donations are requested to be made to the church that you worship.
