Dear Editor:
As a resident of Ebbetts Pass, I have followed with interest your articles and letters on the Candy Rock Shooting Range
in Hathaway Pines.
Today I read the Oped about "Yellowstone in the Crosshairs" Part 2 and learned one thing very important.
I had missed Part 1, but in this one, they discussed the fact that no logging, no hunting, no 4 wheeling, etc is allowed at Yellowstone.
What this tells me is that someone at the USFS has lied about the statements that they are required by Federal Law to allow the shooters to continue shooting at their shooting range at Candy Rock.
Why are they lying and why haven't the people higher up in the ladder done something about this dangerous situation?
Yellowstone is in the same National Forest Service USFS as Stanislaus. People, however are allowed to destroy Stanislaus, with bullets, 4 wheelers, and clear-cutting.
I'm sick of the USFS in Ebbetts Pass, Anonymous from fear
