Completion of the $110,000 restoration of the Shay engine that sits on a short piece of track at the Logging Museum is complete.
The money came from California State Transportation Department funds (OUR TAXES) and we can hardly wait to see the engine start working to earn the money back for the taxpayers.
We are told it was tested on a short piece of track and can only be certain that the taxpayers got their money's worth when it starts to haul dead trees. What? It will never move again?
Congratulation, Ms. Callaway. You finally got it. The train to NOWHERE!
