OP-ED....Postal Workers Get Raise--We Get Screwed!!

   Career postal clerks got a $207 a month raise in March according to the union website for APWU.
Despite years of losses in the billions of dollars, they continue their wasteful spending.

    It will not be long before they hit us with yet another rise in the cost of stamps to pay for their waste.

   We recommend you NOT USE the Post Office at all unless absolutely necessary. When will this all stop?  Will they ever contract out the work to a reliable, honorable and economically sound separate company?

    As long as the government allows them to continue to throw good money away on a bad system with arrogant, rude and incompetent employees, this will continue.

   And believe me, we know personally; since a lowly postal clerk refused our application for a box for our business in 2009, and accused us of fraudulently applying for post office boxes.

   When the Postal Clerk said that they were going to go around a physically check the locations of our post office boxes in another town, I then told him "At least that's a job you can handle!"

   That clerk turned bright red from the tip of their over-exposed dome down to their toes, and could barely control the temper?  This was all documented in August of 2009.  Ask Bobbie Riley!

   We then received threats from this postal employee for turning them in (from a post office phone number), where this clerk said, "No one EVER makes a complaint against them and gets away with it!"

    This, and continued harrassment has been backed up by the Postmistress, the District manager and the Sacramento office.

   Even our Congressional Representative won't help when a lowly postal clerk wrongly denies  you a box. Was the clerk ever disciplined? Why are they afraid of this lowly clerk?

   This is the real reason why the Postal Service is failing, not because all of their employees are bad, but because they allow the truly evil ones to get away with it, and it reflects on all of them!

   Yes, Laney Henderson and Bobbie Riley, we are talking about you!  The Sierra Sentinel was refused a box in 2009 by a lowly postal clerk and backed up by upper management. WHY?

   When we wrote a letter of complaint detailing the entire encounter, we get a letter of apology for the clerks rude behavior and were NEVER allowed to have a box.

   In fact, Bobbie Riley, the Stockton District Manager moved our other business box to another Zip Code, rather than deal with the truth; that they have a serious problem.

   The threats were followed up with the action of falsely accusing us of ridiculous and serious crimes. The Post Office has done nothing to stop it.

     This is a "modus operendi" used by guilty criminals, falsely accuse the accuser of something worse! Are Post Office management people that dumb? How about the Angels Police Department? Hmmm!

   And we have been unable to this point to get a Congressional investigation into this matter. Why is Congressman McClintock protecting the postal service? 

   This is corruption and a crime in our opinion! We do not get mail delivered to our addresses, and are therefore FORCED to use the Post Office.

   We all have the right to a box for each address we occupy!  Why doesn't anyone do anything about their crazy employees?
