One of the more pressing matters for the Board of Supervisors at their last meeting was to approve over $100,000 for studying the repair of the one-way
Rolleri Bridge.
Now, as most everyone in the County knows, the Hwy 4 by-pass in Angels Camp cut the Rolleri Bypass Road in half. On one side is the old bridge over the Angels Creek.
To say that this is a bridge to nowhere, is more accurate than the one in Alaska. It goes to a dead-end with no easy way to turn around and go back.
Is the public allowed to travel this road, picnic along the pasture at the end? There are portable potties in the area.
So many decisions, but the new District 4 Supervisor wisely wants to know why we are wasting the money on a bridge to virtually nowhere.
Was she not even told this was being put on the agenda when it is in her district? Was this one of Tryon's leftovers?
We will likely have to wait for the answers, but we want to know what the public thinks. By commenting let us know if you think we should rebuild or repair this bridge or not.
