In case you haven't heard or figured it out, the water content of the Sierra snowpack is only 66% of average for the date, February 28, 2013.
In fact, January and February of this year are ranking as the driest ones in the Northern Sierra in the history of records which began in 1921.
With everyone downstream who depends on the snowpack worried, the hope is that March and April will prove to be wet months.
