The Calaveras Sheriff's Department issued a press release about assisting officers from the California Highway Patrol with service of a search warrant on March 1, 2013 at approximately 1 PM.
The warrant was served at a residence located on the 8000 block of Westhill Road in Valley Springs.
The purpose of the warrant was to search for possible stolen motorcycles and motorcycle parts.
During the warrant service the sheriff's investigators located approximately 13.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 17.2 grams of marijuana, and 5.1 grams of concentrated cannabis.
There were several adults contacted at the residence, including arrestee Jacob Ryan Butler (27) of Valley Springs and suspect Shannon Kay Clougherty (25) of Valley Springs.
Suspect Clougherty's three year old child was also at the residence, according to the Sheriff's office report.
Arrestee Butler was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County jail on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Child Endangerment.
A complaint charging Suspect Clougherty with Child Endangerment will be sent to the District Attorneys Office.
Any questions regarding the stolen vehicle aspects of the search warrant should be referred to the San Andreas office of the California Highway Patrol.
