This traffic accident caught our eye, although it happened just off Hwy 99 in Stockton.
A Black Cherry colored vehicle, per CHP, crashed into a tree in the orchard off of Foppiano Lane which is near Hammer Lane.
One injured party was transported to a hospital, but the driver, identified as an ex-felon, ran off into the orchard at approximately 1:30 AM last night.
There is no indication of whether they found the driver. At least 8 CHP units were dispatched to the scene and searching for the injured driver during the night.
