There was great news waiting for Governor Brown as he returned fro China. The lawsuit
between the High Speed Rail Authority and the Central Valley Farmers has been settled.
Farmers had been unhappy with the route chosen. This, among other suits clears the way for construction to begin this summer, we are told.
The first 28 mile stretch of track will be laid between Madera and Fresno. In addition, the governor is happy that the low bid came in a just under $1 billion, which is below estimates.
