Gus Dorman is 5 years old, in kindergarted, and lives in Illinois. While most children believe their child is the smartest in the class, his parents would most likely be right.
Since he was reading at 4, they had him tested. He scored in the 99th percentile of the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, which qualified him for Mensa.
Mensa members must have an IQ of at least 135. Gus has an IQ of 147 at age 5. He has already memorized the table of elements and is now learning about black holes and astrophysics.
