John Elward Bacon, a 3 year resident of Stockton passed away on April 4, 2013 at home. He was 86.A native of Stockton, he had previously lived in San Andreas, where he had been a Diesel Mechanic for 68 years.
Mr. Bacon was a member of the San Andreas Lions Club, he volunteered at the San Andreas Senior Center and throughout the community.
He was a very active member of Grace Fellowship Church and former member of Assembly of God Church.
He was also a gifted model airplane and tallship builder and he loved music.
He is survived by his wife Lola Bacon of Stockton, daughters Nancy Lee Laidlaw of Redding and Mary Thomson of Clements.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Jean Reynolds in 2007 and by his brother Alan Bacon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 1 PM at Grace Fellowship Church, located at 1209 S. Hwy 49 in San Andreas
