A new Pew Research poll indicates that the old adage is true. At least for now. During the first 2 years of the nation's economic recovery, the mean net worth of households in the upper 7 % of the wealth distribution rose by an estimated 28%.
It dropped by 4% for the other 93% of households. The basic reason; the wealty invest in the stock market and other financials, most regular folks have their main wealth tied up in their homes.
