Stephen Hawking has suffered with Lou Gehrig's disease for many years and the neurological disorder has left him nearly paralyzed.
We hear that he was given a tour of the Regenerative Medicine Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center yesterday.
After his visit, the 71 year old urged doctors, nurses and staff at the center to support the research.
