A CalPERS exec and his friend pleaded innocent to conspiracy charges in connection with the pensions fund's bribery scandal.
The two apparently made 10's of millions of dollars in commissions from CalPERS investments. WOW!! Phony letters with CalPERS logo, etc. involving Apollo Global Management.
The state says the CalPERS exec now lives in a Lake Tahoe condo, as he was promised when he got Apollo the accounts, and a job at Apollo.
