While the Boy Scouts of America voted Thursday to end its controversial policy of banning gay kids and teens from joining one of the nation's most popular youth groups, it did unsettle some of their religious parents.
It was on the channel 3 news in Sacramento this morning that many conservative religious parents are calling for other parents to remove their children from the organization now, which may cause a split in the structure of the boys club.
We congratulate the leaders of the Boy Scouts for moving into the 21st century and out of the dark ages of discrimination and homophobia.
